That hurts!

The injury struggles of Reds pitcher Homer Bailey continue, making him unavailable for the start of spring training and the forseable future. A small-market team like the Reds simply cannot afford an injured player with the salary Bailey is due.

He's only halfway through a 6-year, $105-million contract that's paid him roughly $30 million since August of 2014. Bailey has thrown only 34 innings since then. He's due $18 million this season and has three years and $69 million remaining after that.
