One important loses on anyone with a decent Twitter following learns quickly is that dignifying someone with a paltry following via a snarky Tweet in response often serves only to grow the followership of the person you're trying to diminish.
Michigan State coach Tom Izzo isn't on Twitter, so he doesn't know that. Because if he did, maybe he wouldn't have lambasted ESPN's Dan Dakich after MSU's win over OSU on Tuesday night.
Dakich takes the barb, but wins the war in this one, because Izzo's barbs only gain Dakich and his son greater relevance.
