It's Boston; Game 5, and LeBron, which means...

If LeBron James gets to the basket in Game 5, the Cavs should sieze control of the Eastern Conference Finals

This can be a scary time of year for Cavaliers fans, given what’s coming tonight and what’s happened in the past.

Is there anyone with wine-and-gold NBA leanings who can hear the terms: “Game 5...Eastern Conference Finals...against Boston,” and not have at least of a bit of a flashback to 2010?

LeBron James has forced much high-quality water under the bridge since that fateful, still-mystifying night in his past that we know (hope, think, believe) is long behind him.

I’m much more certain we’ll get an epic LeBron performance tonight like his series-saving performance in Game 5 of the 2016 Finals at Golden State when he had 41 points, 16 rebounds, 7 assists, 3 blocks and 3 steals than I am fearful he’ll go missing again.

Still, LeBron can’t do it all.

He’ll need George Hill to be more like the guy who scored 26 points in Games 3 and 4 in Cleveland than the 8 he scored in Games 1 and 2 in Boston.

Same for J.R. Smith, who scored only four points collectively in the Cavs’ first two losses, but offered a combined 20 in wins that evened the Series.

If the Cavs starting backcourt can score 20 points and the team limits its turnovers to 10 or less, I like the Cavs wo win tonight and come home for Game 6 with a chance to clinch a fourth straight trip to the Finals as a franchise and the eighth in a row for LeBron.

THIS KID THOUGHT about picking Ohio State as his future college basketball home, but instead he picked DePaul so that he’d have a better chance to get to the NBA. Uh, what?

ONE OF THE DADS of one of the players who will compete against Joe Burrow for the starting job at LSU is making it more awkward for the two when they eventually meet on campus.

THIS BLUE JACKETS’ PROSPECT is transferring from Miami University to OSU, but there’s something he won’t be moving with him from Oxford to Columbus -- a 25-foot tapeworm!

ESPN IS SPENDING A LOT to get the rights to something it seems completely ill-equipped to handle.

ONE OF OUR FAVORITE guests on Spielman & Hooley on 105.7 The Zone has an ambitious idea to beef up the Buckeyes’ non-conference football schedule. You can hear him make his case right here.

If you missed the Spielman Scramble on Monday, this is what you missed.
