Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer joined the Big Ten teleconference to discuss his football team. Among the highlights of what he had to say:
- "For disciplinary reasons" they did not take freshman running back Brian Snead on their trip to play TCU, but Snead will be back practicing with the team today.
- Ryan Day and Kevin Wilson did such a good job running the offense while he was out, that Meyer says he will approach role going forward as "game manager." Day, by the way, will be on the field, not in the press box Saturday.
- Meyer called Nick Bosa "one of the best players I've been around." He says he'll have a better idea around midweek on the timeline for Bosa's return from a groin/abdominal injury.
- The kick returner's job is still considered an open competition.
