Signing Day-Garrett Wilson

Garrett Wilson is the highest ranked wide receiver recruit to sign on with the Buckeyes since Ted Ginn, Jr. joined the Scarlet and Gray in 2004. (And since Ginn was then listed as a corner, it could be argued that Wilson is Ohio State’s most well regarded wide receiver signing in the modern recruiting era.) Wilson himself may be well aware of that fact, because he grew up in central Ohio, before moving to Austin where he played for Lake Travis high school alongside now OSU signal caller Matthew Baldwin. During his 10-game senior season, Wilson recorded 66 catches for 1,104 yards and 18 touchdowns. It was an abbreviated year, cut short five games by a back injury.
