Bobrovsky Out Tonight

The Blue Jackets will be without goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky tonight, as the team said he failed to meet their "expectations and values."

"This is an internal matter and we will have no further comment at this time," said GM Jarmo Kekalainen in announcing the discipline.

"This will be handled inside," added coach John Tortorella. "I'm here tonight. We're playing Nashville. I'm not going to get involved in this. That's why we sent the release out. We're worried about the Nashville game."

Joonas Korpisalo will be in net for that contest against the Predators. Jean-Francois Berube has been called up from the Cleveland Monsters to be Korpisalo's backup.

Bobrovsky is in the final year of his contract, and there were reports last month that negotiations on a new deal had degenerated to the point where the relationship between the two sides was becoming "untenable."

This season, Bobrovsky is 18-13 with 2 shutouts, a .906 save percentage, and a 2.87 goals against average.
