One of the recent traditions for Ohio State Football is 'the call.' Urban Meyer's coaching staff, after depth chart decisions are made and starters are selected, make phone calls to the families of the first stringers to let them know that their son will be getting plenty of action throughout the season.
In the case of receiver Johnnie Dixon, that call is more special than it might be for other players. Dixon has battled injury throughout his career but is said to be one of the most improved players on the team. The call that OSU receivers coach Zach Smith made to Dixon's mom was posted on social media by Ohio State Football. The reaction of Dixon's mom is special. Check it out here.
